Default dreams of dying

ive dreamt of dying before. years ago when i was on drugs. and my life was very very very low. near enough non-existent.

recently ive been having dream of dying again. and i didnt think much of it till my boyfriend said his normally pleasant dreams now end with me vanishing and him not being able to find me. i havent ever mentioned my recent dream of dying. and now both sets of dreams are worrying me.

why would i be dreaming of dying and why has hi normal dreams started ending with me vanishing? its all a little strange.

Dying as a symbol can mean many things. It is a change - "the old GG is gone, the new one is here." Something similar may apply to the vanishing in your bf's dreams - and it may also refer to the Long Distance part of your relationship.

But without more context it is hard to make such a call

Dream Moods Dictionary: Words That Begin With D

To dream of dying is not to be feared. The above link says it symbolizes inner changes....to read more, look under "die"

thanks luba

i had a great talk with vautrin about it too (thankyou vautrin!)

and it really helped, i didnt feel nearly so worried as i have been.

I know dreams tend to be from things you fear or have thought about recently.

for about 6 years ive wished everyday i was dead. so i never ever feared it. it was something i wanted. instead i feared life. and living. So much has changed that recently, especially my bf, he played a big roll in heping me turn my thoughts around. and now i dont wish i was dead evryday, instad i dont want to die. its a huge huge thing for me to say that beause i never thought i would. so i know ive finally achieved something and hes incredibly proud! but now i dont want to die, obviously i now fear death, because ive been thinking about that its been at the front of my mind and i thnk thi could be why im dreaming it.

that after everything ive been through when i finally have something to live for, death would come and find me.

Did you find that you took the drugs to cope with life, or did you find the drugs to be the cause of your feeling of worthlessness?

the drugs were a mixture of anti-depressants and sedatives/sleeping pills

the drugs were suppose to help but i honestly dont believe they did, infact i ended up overdosing on the sedatives. i took the anti-depressants because they were suppose to help and instead ended up becoming reliant on them even tho they werent really doing anything, infact if i missed one, i felt even lower then before i was on them.
