Default Mom and Dad

I had a very vivid dream about my parents, especially Mom. Upon awakening, I stayed in bed trying to recapture the dream which I remembered almost in its entirety. It's a nice feeling that is still with me though the dream was a bit troubling.

Do you want to tell us what seemed troubling?

I can't; as it would dishonour the memory of my Mom. I'm sorry! It was Great to see her, though.

I was too young to truly appreciate how great your parents were Lu but I do look back on the limited time I had with them with a warm heart. I never really was that close to Deda (not like Dave was) but I do remember Baba a bit more.

I hate those dreams where even though loved ones are present, the dream itself is off putting.

Oh yes Baba and you, Duke! She thought the sun rose and set on you and that you could do no wrong! I remember vividly that you sat in front of her cupboard playing, and even if she needed to get into the cupboard she'd never ask or try to get you to move.

I also remember when your brother was born, you were interested in him for about three days, then took off to be with Baba; I actually think you wanted to move in with her. Gosh, but she loved you (brings tears to my eyes) and I think that's why you still remember her with such warmth, love and affection. You two had an incredible bond!

As I posted previously, I'm 'off' today, somewhat moody, and now I know mostly why. My Mom's Birthday today and I miss her! Two more birthdays this month, my brother and beloved friend both passed away; birthdays being on the same day.

I will be thinking of them and going over memories today. Hopefully not in a sad way, but thinking of the good and happy memories.

I'm so sorry Luba, no wonder you had such a dream. It will be rough, but hold on to your memories, and cherish them.
My brother passed way this last November, on the 10th. It is still hard to imagine not seeing him, or getting a phone call. But, I do not want to dream about him.
Take care, and do not be too sad today. -blessings, Joy

Oh honey, I'm so sorry I didn't see this yesterday. But I'm glad I was able to be helpful in turning a portion of your day around. Please know you are in my thoughts and my heart as you struggle thru this intense time. (((Hugs)))

Thank you, ladies, for your kind words. I try to put things in their perspective and not be low too long. Life is too short for that. I try to think of the good memories, sadness does seep in from missing them, but it's how they've touched my life that comes through. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for my Beloved parents even though a lot forf those times growing up were tough. I'm Grateful to them for sure!
