Default What would YOU do?

I know lots of teens who are currently prgnant and have decided to keep their babys and my question is....If you were a pregnant teen:

Would you have an abortion so that way your parents wouldnt find out and no worries....you wont have that much guilt....
OR
Would you keep the baby even though your parent(s) would probably end up raising it you still would have YOUR baby.....

I personally would keep it (Dont worry Merika im NOT pregnant....It's just an opinion)

I wouldn't make the decision alone. I'd prolly tell my parents or someone else really close to me before making up my mind. I'm not an abortion advocate, but I'd rather abort a pregnancy than mis-raise a new child into a world of hurt and chaos.

Just a question.....Is it possible to get an abortion without your parent's knowing about it?

Anythings available to anyone, you just have to know where to look. The question is, is it safe and is it legal? The answer is prolly no.

First of all, if we are talking about ourselves instead of just what you think someone should do in the situation, I believe you should refrain from sexual activity until you are married, thus this situation should never come up. unfortunatelly it does becuase people can't control themselves (or normally that's the case).
If I somehow found myself in this situation I would fight to keep that child alive and in the best living condition I could. Just becuase the mother and father don't have alot or don't know about how to take care of a child is no reason to abort it.

I hear what your saying random but I'm not sure that's always possible. I respect your stance on waiting till marriage but, in this day and age, you're a minority. I don't know that I could ever have waited till marriage regardless of belief structure. How can you possibly know if your partners the one meant to be with you you're whole life. It's like buying a car because you like the rims but aren't sure if there's a motor in it.

Pretty stupid reply I know but I want to ensure that my wife to be is the wife to be.

I got pregnant at 19 teen, but I was of age and legal and I do not regret having my child at all, but I wish I would have waited untill I was a little older it's been a hard rough road and I had to grow up EXTREAMLY FAST
and I missed out on alot opportunities going to a good college ect.

I have friends who had teen pregnancy's as yong as 14 and still to this day 10-12 years later there lives are still a mess one of my friends is 24 with a 10 year old daughter. She doesn't have the education to get a good job, her son treats her like crap because of the lack of parenting skills you can aquire at such a young age and sadly to say she will probably be on welfare for the rest of her life. and nobody has seen the father since High School. Situations like this happen every day and it's very sad.

I believe abortion is a personal choice and I do not discriminate the subject, although adoption is also a WONDERFUL solution I think this option is often overlooked. There is no way to stop teen's being sexually active, but teen pregnancy can and always should be prevented. I think it is scary for children to talk to their parents about birth control. you do need the consent of a parent to obtain it.

That's also a tough call on a parent as well, do you hand your daughter birth control pills and say it's o.k. to have sex or forbid them to have sex and make them frightned to converse about it? It's a tough one.

I'd rather hand her condoms and have her talk to me openly about sex rather than hide if from me. The thought of her having sex makes my skin crawl, but the thought of her doing it and me not knowing makes me much sicker.

It seems like you guys have a pretty good relationship

Do you think it is approiprate for teens to be on birth control before they become sexually active? ( it takes awhile for it to kick in)

I don't like the idea of her taking the pill for some reason. Kids forget things easily because their so active and busy, I'd hate to see it lead to an unplanned pregnancy.

BTW, I love my daugher with all my heart, and then some. She knows it and tells me a lot of intimate details. Is it everything, prolly not? At least she tells me stuff and hopefully continues on till the day I die.

The Depovaria shot is a great meathod ( if ever needed in the future) it's a shot in the butt every 90 days, no pills.

I guess I still worry about STD's though.

Actually, I'm a typical parent, I worry about virtually everything when it comes to my baby girl.

I'm such a big pile of mush because of her it's not even funny. Hopefully none of the guys ever see what my daughter does to me.

I'm glad you think so, I feel like a big wuss.

I've never shed as many tears over a lifetime as I have over the past 9 years because of my love for my daughter.
