Default tickin timebomb

I'm tellin ya'll what...my "biological clock" is ticking so loud it sounds like someone stomping on a wood floor! I'm so ready to have a baby. Unfortunately my husband keeps putting it off. He keeps saying...we'll start trying soon...soon...soon...SOON WAS 6 MONTHS AGO.

What is his reason for putting it off?

I honestly don't know why he keeps puttin it off. I know the reasons he's TELLING me...but they're lame. (Like we need a bigger house, or a bigger truck, or we need to get better jobs first.) I think he is just terrified of having a child to raise and take care of. He never really had a dad so I think it stems from that...insecurities about it.

My brother was like that when he got married also. She had a 3 year old child at the time from another marriage..but they never had one together. They just got divorced after 16 years of marriage and she told him it was the one thing she held against him.

I have no idea why some guys are like that. Maybe they don't want to have to share your attention.....or as you said....they are just afraid. I do understand a guy being hesitant because he wants to provide the best for his children....but your husband is a grown man and certainly not a dead beat. He should have more confidence in himself than that.

I don't think he's the 'counselling' type...so, is there anyone else, other than you, who he is close to who could talk to him about it and find out if there are any hidden reasons?

Most women are too nice to do that. If I were married and wanted a child real bad....I'd be tempted.

I don't know Ayla....Duke is tall and blonde...we can paint in a few freckles on the kid. HAHA!

Seriously, I totally understand how you feel. When I had my last two kids....they were almost a decade from my oldest son. I wanted babies so bad.....and until someone has been in that position...it's hard to understand why it's so important. It's like your heart has a longing... something inside feels like you just HAVE to have a baby!

I wish guys knew this about women.
