The Definition of Love
What is the definition of Love to you?
To me it is a person who wont push you to do somthing that you dont want to, someone who likes you for more than your looks, I also think you will know when you love somone because you will feel it when you see/talk to them..

I think love is something that makes your heart feel warm when it's around and brings a tear to your eye when it's not.

Love is the word you use if you couldnt live without the other person. I rarely tell people i love them, it is a huge deal to me. I have told two people ever that i loved them, outside of my family.

I love a lot of people actually but I believe the word can vary in both degree and definition. You can love someone as a friend, as a child/relative, as a mate. To me it translates to people who are part of your heart.

True enough but it is better to have love and lost than to never have loved at all.

Oh, how i wish i could say that it were true! But for some of us it's just not, loving another person can be a life changing event. I often wonder if people really, truly, understand love or if it's just a realitive concept to them? I'm not knocking your answer, and thanks for the thought, it's just that i've noticed that people seem to experience two different kinds of love. The kind of love that's fleeting and soon replaced by another, which actually seem to be just a tempory fixation with another person to me; and the kind of love that hurts everyday and lasts a lifetime when it's lost. :?:

I have to agree with Weiser on this one, how can you love quickly? I think true love (as in mate love) takes time and may develop over several years. I can even relate this to my child whom I've always loved but it seems to get stronger as time goes on. That to me is the true definition of love, if it's easily replaced or forgotten then I don't believe it was ever love at all.

I think we could define love as wanting something for someone else so much you are willing to sacrifice anything for them, even your own personal wants and needs. I think true love begins when you think more about the other person more than you are capable of thinking about yourself.
