Were You a Good Child..
or were you naughty, a tattle-tale, shy, outgoing, rough and tumble, etc?
My brothers were quite older than me and wouldn't give me the attention I wanted...so....I was a HUGE tattletale! I don't know how I figured that would get me positive attention from them!

I think that really depends on the audience whether that is good or bad.

Re: Were You a Good Child..
I was a good child. My sister was the tattle-tale. One Day I realised that Mum believed everything my sister said, so when my sister and I had an argument and she yelled out (lying might I add) that I hit her. I turned to her and punched her in the shoulder and said, "there now I actually did what you said I did."
That story amuses me to this day.

Re: Were You a Good Child..
I was the baby so a bit spoiled but still a good kid. My dad died when I was 9 so I always tried to be good and helpful after that. I felt sorry for my mom and didn't want to add to her pain.

Re: Were You a Good Child..
I was a loverly child up until about 4 years old and then I became horrible and hyperactive, violent and generally not nice. Turns out it was tartrazine and several other 'E' additives that are thankfully now banned in the UK. Once we figured out the stuff I shouldn't put in me I was just a normal kid.

What are "E" additives?

Re: Were You a Good Child..
E# are European approved additives. They just code for substances that add flavour or colouring.

E number - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You probably have eaten a ton of them and never known it. Its law to state there use in food on packaging over here so you can avoid them if you want. Personally I won't buy anything with an 'E' number in it.

Was there a medical basis for your parents discovery of a link between your behaviour as a 4 yo and these additives?

Re: Were You a Good Child..
Yes, I was hyperactive, suffered from severe migraines. Put 2 and 2 together with what i was consuming and my parents figured it out and a Doctor confirmed it. It was a pretty common thing back in the early 80's and led to banning of some of these colourings and a law meaning food packaging has to show everything contained within it on the packet, at least in the EU. Going to any non EU State is alarming cause when you buy something processed in a packet it rarely tells you what it actually contains.

Re: Were You a Good Child..
Yes and no I was and my parents knew where I always was.I remembered to tell them where I was before I left at age 10 usually at my friend's house. My parents knew most of the time I was at my neighbor Paul's helping him tear apart tractors, lawnmowers starting at age 14 most of the time.I was full of energy starting at age 2 and my mom remembers yelling out "Caitlynn Jo,get your butt over hear now!" after taking a bath running out naked so she could dry me off and get me ready for bed.It did stop when I was 7,realized I had slow down.I admit it I had one arguement with my parents at age 16,I wanted thongs and they said no saying I was not old enough for them.I tried the "But, Dad" offense and it did not work with my father.I learned no means no after that and did get thongs on my 18th birthday.

My cousin was a complete terror, totally off the wall crazy and mean. He was allergic to Red Dye, was the diagnosis from the doctor. As long as he didn't have anything with this in it, he was pretty normal.

Re: Were You a Good Child..
I have heard a lot about allergies to things that make people behave differently. So hard to figure out.
