Default Dealing with Disappointment

HOW TO
DEAL WITH DISAPPOINTMENT

When things don't turn out the way you hoped, it may seem like the end of the world. Here are some things you can do to keep disappointment from getting you down.

• Stop. Calm Down. Give yourself some time. Things might not seem nearly so bad tomorrow.

• Get your feelings out in a way that doesn't hurt you or anybody else.

• Talk about it with your parents or a good friend.

• Ask yourself if this is really worth getting angry or upset about.

• Think about what you can learn from the experience and how you can do better next time.

• Don't judge yourself. Failing at something does not mean that you are a failure.

--------------------------------------
Have you ever really felt disappointed in the way you performed in sports, in class or just life in general?

I'm disappointed with where I am in life. I was hoping to retire early but that's not looking possible.

I can say that creating this site, meeting a great gal, and having the best child in the universe have helped me a lot. All I need now is a bit of good luck, some extra cash, and then I'll start my own company.

ABsolutley!! Learning how to accept your failures and try again, I think is the most important lesson to learn in life. Several people won't take risks because they are afraid of Failure, sooner or later the "Fear of Failure" turns in to regrets.

All I do is tell myself that everything happens for a reason and move on. I truly believe that.

I ignore disappointment! I simply pretend I'm happy where I am.
