I got answers. I may be new here, but that's alright. I don't judge anyone. This thread will hopefully be my way to help others get back on track or stay on track with their lives. I've probably got more real life experience in certain areas than most of you guys combined. This isn't gloating either - far from it - I'm just saying I've seen the darkest of dark places and want to help others before they see the dark places too.
I've also seen the dark places and actually hatched a plan to see them no longer if you take my meaning. Of course that was years ago, I'm much better now although I'm sure Merika may have something to say about that lol.
I was unable to ditch, my problems were waiting at home for me. I also had a newborn baby, two jobs, no money and was physically and mentally exhausted.
Well you turned out alright it seems. I think I did. Hell, I think it made me a stronger, smarter (well, as smart as that life can leave you), person.
And you know, looking back on things, the choices I made, the things I did. They may have been bad, but they made me who I am today. If I could go back and change things, I wouldn't. Not for anything. I'm, I guess you could say wise beyond my years. The knowledge I have now, not many people posess.
I hated what I was going through and wasn't helping myself much because I was wallowing in self pity to b00t. I've learned more in that short period of time than I did over the span of a lifetime.
I had a horrible cocaine habit in my early 20's. I went to God and told him to change me or kill me because I couldn't continue living my life like that. I never touched it again....it's been 18 years.
Luckily, I was out of the drug scene long before crack and the newer stuff hit the market.
