Would you get a Nanny Cam? How much do you trust your babysitter or Nanny?

I never even knew Nanny Cams existed, never figured abuse in those days at the hands of babysitters. However, I did have a babysitter that was playing her little flirting games with my husband...needless to say she was out of a regular babysitting job! She must have gone to display her expansive chest somewhere else, it wasn't going to be at my place!

I never went out that much when my kids were little and when I did I had a couple girls whose mothers I knew do the babysitting. It never crossed my mind to have a camera set up while they were there. I trusted them and if I didn't I wouldn't have hired them in the first place.

the biggest problem is trust, you may trust someone but that doesnt mean they are a good person.

a big story here was of a 3 yr old girl that died - her uncle was babysitting her, he also raped her and suffocated her. that little girls father trusted his brother, yet look what he did? and the countless stories of people shaking babies and stuff. i dont think id trust anyone to look after my child. i mean even with a cam, if something happens..its too late.

I'd rather err on the side of caution than trust the wrong person and have my child's mortality brought into question.
