I was addicted to the lifestyle, not the drug. big difference.

I've never tried it... so I don't have an opinion. I think this or any other drug is probably better left alone.

Then again....I've been all giddy when the dentist prescribed Percocettes!

Of all the people I know, Merika has the most reasons to drink beer instead of chugging a bottle of peroxide daily.

Well I use to do extasy about 6 months ago, me and a tight group of friends would do it everyweekend and it was amazing, we all felt so close to one another and being on e we could talk about anything. Especially things that were normally difficult to talk about, so we felt an extreme bond between one another. The thing was the when we were sober it was pretty awkward, we didn't have much to talk about. The only thing we had in common was taking drugs together.
I loved the feeling of e, it's the best feeling I ever felt in my life, I am not going to deny it. But coming off of e is one of the hardest things to do you, You can't think of one happy thought. So I cut back on it because my parents were getting suspicious about the fact that every saturday and sundays, I would be sick and not get out of bed all day.
I am very sorry to say that a few people that I use to do e with are now full on drug addicts. A couple of them are addicted to yay (cocaine) and they really are not the same peopple that I once knew. It is very hard to see peopple close to you completely ruin their lives. We tried to help them but I think for someone to really change their lives around, they need to want it as bad as the people that care about them.
Anyways, I have experimented with alot of drugs, but have never been addicted to any. I am now drug free, and won't be doing drugs for a year now. I just wanted to say that I've seen extasy ruin lives, and it breaks my heart to think of anyone doing this drug.

What a fantastic post alexabella, thanks for sharing that part of yourself with us. I too used to do hash, pot and drink heavily but never got to the point where I needed them, with the exception of booze. I did have a hard time with dropping booze from my life but I did manage to do it. It is very hard to kick the habit because that's exactly what it becomes, a habit. As you said, you have to want to change before you can change.

thanks for sharing your story alex. it's very brave of you to do so.

the worse drug that was around me when i was a teenager was hash. I tried smoking has, hash oil and weed. never cared for them at all so i just basically tried them and i was done with it. now drinking, that was my thing. i did a lot of that in my day but was never addicted to it. I stopped drinking about 6 or 7 years ago and it was as easy for me to do as eating a slice of pie.

My oldest daughter has admitted to doing ex and smoking weed. The doing ex really scares me a lot. Kids die from using that all the time.

drugs grab hold of people who can't deal with something in their lives. it's an escape. that's what makes it so dangerous and easy to get addicted to. the high is grand but coming down is terrible and makes you feel worse then you did in the first place so you go out and do it again and again.....

it's scary!

i know you've probably all heard stories but i've got a pretty personal one

a friend of mine is about 16 and ever since his best friend died about 4 years ago his life has been going down the toilet... he started drinking every weekend and smoking weed and it was pretty often, he would sometimes smoke 6-10 grams of weed a day, but just recently he got into extacy and before he knew it he was doing it alot, he has a job and so he had alot of money and bought the equvalent of 15 hits of E (they were 7 double stacked ones) and he took one an hour. it eventually caused him to seizure and blood actually started seeping out of his skin. the people he was with were too messed up on drugs to realize what was happening or that they had to call 911 so no one did.
Thank God he's ok, Its pretty much a miracle, and he's decided that he's never doing drugs again, including pot, he realized that its just too much to risk.... i'm glad for that... but its even scarier when a friend of a friend of mine died from just three hits.... AHH i dont know if ppl who do E are brave or just stupid!!

You friend is so lucky to be alive today! Thank God he made it through that! wow!!

I don't think that people that do these drugs are brave at all. They hurt and they're unaware of what it can do to you; like kill you. bad peer pressure has a lot to do with it, I think.

It's very sad and scary.

Looking over the time you've known me, did you ever think I'd create a site with this type of focus? I never even knew I had it in me.

People who are fortunate enough to know you personally, like me, and I thank God every day for that, know that you are anything but a "biggest n00b"!I always knew you were pretty special, and I always knew you were capable of great things!
