Default Branding...

I posted this topic here as I think it is abuse to oneself. Some teens are putting their health at risk by doing it to each other. It is inhumane to animals, now to teens?

For more on this topic, check out "Dr. Phil's" website

But the animals don't have a choice, these teens do. Not inhumane if you do it to yourself. Another one where stupidity comes to mind.

its inhumane to both humans AND animals. as tkdlady said, animals dont have the choice. However humans do to some extent.

i imagine if there is peer pressure, bullying etc then there will be a higher risk of children doing this.

Actually, these three boys were sitting around one day bored and had nothing to do, so one suggested branding. Dr. Phil said "Ever heard of reading a book?" or words to that effect...

Anyway, the video is on utube as well if you want to sign up to register...I believe it's the same one as shown on "Dr. Phil"

Sigh. I think at the rate our respective countries are going, civilization will be a thing of the past by 2050.

Sounds like the same things being said again from the 80's... lol

There are far worse things to do than branding - in all reality, branding is safer than getting tattoos.

I was not so much worried about the branding - as about the fact that "civilized pursuits" are not even considered anymore.

Yeah, in the end it's just about what's accepted at the time.
People poke holes in their ears to wear earrings too, have breast implants, or have toxic substances injected into their forehead to paralize their muscles, just to get rid of some wrinkles. It's all self mutulation in the end.
As for branding, I think it's ugly. Peronally the only scars that I appreciate are the ones with a story behind them about how they got there, not the ones you put there on purpose. In that way life itself will tattoo you.
