I'm on the sauce tonite.
Fricken Canaca drove me to drink. I'm not kidding either, I was so mad earlier that I got in the car and hit the liquor store. Just so you know, I don't normally drink and rarely by b00ze, never if it's just for myself (except tonite).
Has anything ever drove you to get drunk?

I don't hold a driver's license, so for me the worst offense would be driving without a license; I get the impression that drunk driving is less of an offence over here. Does it make sense? No.
When I am mad, I always try to write something full of anger. I always make certain that I have a few bottles of wine and port at home, so I can drink during the writing processes. It helps me to lose the inhibitions in my thought processes.
It is not something I do in excess, as my medicines don't allow for that. I may drink a little bit, and I do so on a few occasions.
I haven't suffered too many heartaches yet, but I tend to be very reflective about it, even at the time itself. Of course I drank a bit at the time, but nothing more than that.

All of my correspondence to Canaca today took care of the writing with anger.

I don't drink at all anymore. I wasn't an alcoholic, that's not the reason I quit drinking. I don't miss it at all. I don't mind not having the hang overs and besides, I never did like the taste of alcohol anyways. I'd rather have a glass of juice.
My partying days were between the ages of 15 and 24. I was quite the heavy partyer in those days and had a blast doing so. I quit drinking completely (except for that 1 glass of wine at thanksgiving) for 6 years now. Gerry and I quit together.
My family aren't big drinkers except for my 1 brother who is an alcoholic (he doesn't know that yet though) and hubby's family are all big drinkers. Gerry and I are the only ones besides the young kids that are sober at his family get-togethers. It's amaizing what you see and hear when you're the only one that's sober. :?

I have a glass of wine with dinner, other than that I usually dring socially for fun. Champers is my fave.
These last few weeks as things have got tougher at home, I've drunk more than the odd glass. It always makes me feel worse, alcohol is a depressive. I've not really thought about it until I saw your thread, Duke. I think I'll quit drinking at home for a while (apart from our beer fests of couse, Merika ).

I don't even keep alcohol in the house because it always tempts me if it's there. Maybe I've never truly beat the alcoholic in me.

I don't consider someone who drinks frequently an alcoholic.....I consider someone who NEEDS to drink all the time an alcloholic. Then again....I could be wrong and Meanon and I are in BIG TROUBLE! LMAO!
I don't drink when I'm sad or mad or alone. I drink to socialize with friends....even if it's on the puter. I drink when it hits me that I'm in the mood for it.

I cannot afford to drink very much and I rarely go to parties where free alcohol is available. Once I did drink to much tequilla and it made me really sick and I could not stay in class and going to work the following night was torture. I was not worth it even though it was free.

I had a glass of wine at my sister in law's house(my brother's wife) last friday night. one glass and i was tipsy! i'm such a cheap drunk. LOL! Gerry has no idea that I drank that because i didn't get back home until 2 in the morning. I was so tired the next day! up at 6 to take care of the baby all day. it was a rough day. i was so tired!
We had a blast though. I brought over Kassandra's kakaoke machine and we sang like idiots all night long to all kinds of old music. It was a blast though! We are going to do that again soon.
I think she needed to let loose because she called me that day and asked me to go over with the kids, spend the night and do karaoke. she leads a very stressful life as do i so we releaved the stress and tortured the neighbours with our lousy voices all night. LOL!
