As it is only a temp position then I'd say Yes. The sick child isn't such an issue (it's that time of yr they DO get ill) but she should have had AT LEAST a month's notice for her "court date" and she gave you no notice to reschedule which day she came in or find another alternative. If it was a permanent full time postion I'd say a meeting and probation would be in order- as it is you can find a college student, homemaker, etc... who WANTS to work and needs the $.
