Would you fire her?
O.K I hired one of my friends as a Temp untill I found a replacement for my BookKeeping position at work, All she has to do is awanser the phone, file, and be there incase someone comes in. Basically it pays 12.00/ hr to surf the net all day. Anyways she comes in about twice a week so I can do other things, do interviews, go to doctors appointments, and do my own insurance sales calls. Last week she called in saying she had to go to court or something so I cancelled a Sales call that most likely would have bought, and today I was taking a personal day to tie up Christmas Plans, Get Ready for my Corp Party and Go to lunch with my boss and she cancelled AGAIN. She says her daughter has a tempature....
I am fumming pissed, I am so busy and I now have to go to work and "Babysit" when I can be doing something productive. I want to Can her and tell her shes unreliable I might as well just not take off. but I feel bad, I know she has two kids, maby her daughter does have a temp, but I don't care I am so pissed.....
Do you think this is grounds to let her go?
