Thanks, this is about what I like to concentrate. TODAY. Some, including Andrew, like to peer months and years into the future which they either see as half full (Andrew) or half empty (mom). I try to encourage them both to just see tomorrow.

Thanks. I believe the Risperdal/therapy/time combination is working, but since Andrew really doesn't seem to feel any differently with 3 mg Risperdal, we're going to 4 mg.

I understand what you're saying. As awful as it would be, some organic problem that could have an immediate surgical resolution seems almost attractivly......concrete. But either way, his mental condition, like any illness, really is no one's fault. For sure it could have been treated better, earlier. I'm still wondering how such serious mental health issues escaped the notice of the psychiatrist he was seeing every month for a FULL YEAR preceeding his initial arrest. Its difficult to believe that incompetance or indifference contributed, because he sort of took us by surprise as well.
