Default Ahhhhh I feel soooo much better!

So I don't know if any of you read anything about my job in the other thread in the lighter side, but I've been a little pissy at work lately just due to certain things.

Well, I've found my saving grace. Because our computer systems are networked together we can all do the same thing, no matter where in the company we are. That being said, I've now taken on work from the Vancouver office as well as the Calgary office on top of doing the work I normally do for the Toronto office.

In the couple weeks I have been doing this, I've actually done more work for the other 2 offices combined than I have done for the Toronto office in the 4 months I have been there. My work is top notch with an almost perfect accuracy rate, and I get the work done in record time. The Calgary office fired one of the new girls they hired at the beginning of this week, so not only are they short staffed, they are also in their busy season. I've taken a lot of stress and worry out of that office. It feels pretty good too because even though I never get a "Good Job" or "Nice work" from this office, all I get is praise from the other guys. They are letting the VP of the Eastern Division (my immediate boss) know about this too, which is amazing considering bonus time is coming up in a month and this will definately reflect on it!

Basically when I go to work, I do everything for the Toronto office in about a half hour, and then read the news or play a couple games of mine sweeper until my old supervisor gets to the Calgary office at about 7:30am his time. I'll give him a call and within minutes I have about 3-4 hours worth of work to do. Then I'll give the Vancouver office a call and they will send me another 2-3 hours worth of work. The majority of the work I get from them are the super rushes that need to be done within a few hours - it's almost like I never left Calgary, because that's the majority of the work I did there - all on the super rush basis.

Once I'm done it all I'll just send it back to Tom to audit. Why don't I give it to my auditor here in the Toronto office so she has something to do? Cause I don't trust her work and if I happen to make a mistake, I don't want it being missed and released because according to the people in the Toronto office, it would be *my* fault and not the auditors (Joanne) even though it's her sole job to make sure everything is correct - that's how it was in the past and I don't see that mentality changing any time soon.

I've also started keeping a file of everything I have done from the other 2 offices too and it's actually getting bloody huge. I'm more productive, I'm happy going into work, I'm never bored and I just have an all around better outlook on everything now.

Oh yeah, I'm also by myself for the next week and a bit as Joanne (my supervisor) is off til sometime next week - so I get to listen to my music much louder than when she is here and it's GREAT. I work so much better with loud music. When she gets back though, *I* get to train *HER* on how to do *HER* job. I had such a good laugh with the VP here told me that. I also suggested that I train her on how to do my job too as she *should* know it already. He was a little weary about it but then I brought up the fact that I am going on vacation and that the last time I did, everything she did was wrong and I had to fix it when I came back - and I don't feel I should have to redo work that was done wrong because it should have been done correct in the first place. He agreed with me on that, so it looks like when she is back, we are going to switch jobs. She'll do mine, I'll do hers and at the same time I'll be training her.

Time to show the VP that I can do a better job at everything

Now I just need to figure out how to get the Account Officer to follow procedures hahaha. I'll be giving her a lot of slack this week though as it is just myself and her for the entire week.
