Are canadians allowed to sue for really stupid things too? Do they win?

I have a brilliant idea, I'm going to cross the street at a crosswalk with flashing lights that no one stops for and get hit by a car. Then I will sue that person, and the city, for allowing me to get hit because the flashing lights were faulty.

Jeebus we're doomed.
