I think it maybe an age thing. My friends my age and I will say pretty much anything about ourselves to close friends but we tend not to disclose stuff involving our partners unless it's something serious which would be confided to a best mate. My younger friends, male and female, tell everything in graphic detail. It doesn't bother me at all.
