Re: Computer-Aided Psychotherapy
Psychotic depression is easily treated, the problem with it however is getting the sufferer to get the help they require, and keeping them from killing themselves in the process. It's a simple mix of a small dose of antipsychotics and anti depressants, the anti-psychotics are only taken for a very, very short time. They do their work quickly, the anti-depressants however... different story.
Pepsi wouldn't be going thru so much hell if I was there to give her the true support and affection she needs, if I could hold her hand during the sessions with the psychiatrists, I can't help her once she puts the phone down or signs off the computer.
These last few weeks she's been getting worse, the things I say aren't helping anymore. Can only hear 'it's going to get better, babe' so many times before you stop believing it because nothing seems to get better. Sometimes you just really, truelly need a cuddle.
Her illness has taken it's toll on me, I can't deny that. I'm not sleeping much, afraid to. She hates herself for affecting me negatively, I hate myself for showing it. I just hope she believes that no matter what I'm not going to give up on her, not going to decide she's not worth the trouble, that I truelly do love her. Because I do, I do absolutely love her.
