I have to agree with Scott though. The therapy I received wasn't worth what I paid for it. Either I was resisting treatment or I just felt robbed when my therapist talked more about her problems than mine. She had me read Self-Help books for homework. Of course, I had to buy these books from her too, like the visits weren't enough money.

Sadly, she was the best out of the 5 I had seen.

The only CBT I have gone through was very embarrassing. We made scrapbooks of our lives and had show and tell. I feel most comfortable, alone and behind a computer than interacting with anyone in person.

UK must handle things a lot differently than the US. Here, it almost feels like band-aid therapy no matter how complex the psychosis.
