I think it's just easier to blame parents for things that kids do. Really, if you think about, especially if both parents work; the school and their friends are with them for the better part of the day.

Getting your child to finish homework, wash up, eat dinner and then go to bed; it feels like a rat race. Not quality time that you get for a whopping 2 days of the week.

There are parents that don't care, but the ones that do care outweigh the ones that don't. At least from what I've witnessed.

I guess if we could spend all day and everyday with our children; lock them in a box with us - no television, no music on the radio, no internet, no video games and no friends. Well, maybe our children would actually be responsible for their own actions.
