I sat on my fingers so I wouldn't respond to this thread or the other one, but I just couldn't take it anymore. While it is true, that leaving one person for another is no guarantee that you'll trade up, I think she could've said a multitude of things that would have shown how she really feels about you.
Maybe she did and you're not sharing it. It just made my heart break that that was what she came up with to reassure you she was sticking by your side.
It just sounds like you're still stuck in the "friend zone."
