I think a person who truly loved someone could hate them temporarily because love and hate are so close really. If they truly love the person, they would not hate forever. The anger would pass and that is where the hate would come from in the first place. I don't think you can hate without love first. If you didn't truly love the person in the first place then the pain would be short lived, the anger would turn to dislike, not true hate. Just my opinion.
