There's a Lifesupporters News Story - Justice for Michael

This story brought me to tears, in fact, I cried for almost three days over it. When I read the users comments about the story, I was destraught. (Yep, pretty much crazed.)

I didn't think I'd be posting here much longer because of the users response to this news story. However, I decided that the comments weren't bad. No one here has really gone through having to 'save their child' to the extent that Michael's father has. I understood his fight and his constant struggle. Although Michael's situation is far greater than my son's, I still understood exactly how his Dad felt.

What I'm trying to say is, it doesn't matter what some people say (good or bad) about a serious topic. Someone is going to react differently than anyone will expect. Whether it's due to the emotional turmoil they've once faced previously in their life and still have pain from or a current one.

I understand what Duke is saying about the light-heartedness through the board. I just don't think anyone should feel it is their fault alone and become jaded.

You are all good people or I wouldn't stick around. I may have rubbed you the wrong way or you I, but it doesn't mean the end of the world. I understand, we all have things in our past or present we're dealing with and some comments hurt. Even though, it wasn't an intentional hurt, it still stings.

Sometimes we don't understand why we get hurt over some comments, we just are. I've pushed too many people in my life away to not stop and think why some comments hurt me. So, I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and look deep inside myself first before blaming someone else that it was an intentional hurt.

I'm glad I started doing that. It's really changed my life.

I enjoy reading this board because of the people in it. You are all good people. Whatever the big undertaking is that we're all about to see, I hope none of you take it personally. It would hurt me to see this board fall and not just because it's Duke's dream, but because of this community being gone.
