It could be that something around you smells like him. More likely it's the feeling of being scared and on edge that has evoked the body memories from when you felt like this before. It's just the way the brain works. Smell is particularly strongly associated with emotional memories (good and bad). Of course sometimes you will be nervous because you have intuitively picked up that something is wrong - but the smell is a red herring GG. Try not to let it worry you.
