Zil is on a distinguished road
Default Hello to everyone...

I just posted in the Marriage / Dating section on a topic I have plans for adding to very soon, but I wanted to post here as well.

I randomly found this site online and it looks like a nice place to discuss things, so.. I think I'll just make myself at home, if that's okay with everyone. =)

My name is Kenney. I like playing video games when I have time, especially online and especially Final Fantasy XI. I love karaoke, although it's been far too long since I last did that.. and I feed off of my love for music in life. Primarily metal/hard rock/alternative/etc. etc. I used to play drums years ago and this evolved into me going by "Zil" on online games because lots of people had problems pronouncing "Zildjian" on Socom. (The best damn cymbals on the planet! hehehe).
I have been raising two children alone since Jan. 9th, 2003. (After being apart from them for so long thanks to their mother hardly ever letting me see them, you don't really forget the date that the lawyer calls to tell you she gives up and to come pick them up right away.)
My children keep me going. They truly are my world. They are the reason I keep pressing onward in life... My son is 8 1/2 and my daughter will soon be 7 on November 20th. They are very well-behaved and polite. They just recently started at a new childcare place and I'm told they're the best kids there. =D (Sorry, proud daddy moment!) lol
I recently moved to Lafayette, Indiana from Tennessee and I work during the day at a manufacturing facility. (Blue-collar factory work, that's me.. haha). I am 30 years old and divorced. I was married at the age of 20, completely ready to devote my life to my wife. She, ...not so much. Let's just say it is a miracle my kids are actually mine. My daughter has no memory of her and my son barely remembers, although he does remember something... what exactly? I'm not so sure. It has seems painful for him at times, but overall he is extremely well-adjusted and is at the top of his class in 3rd grade. My daughter is reading 82 words per minute in first grade and at her level they only strive for children to be reading 20 words per minute. (Another proud daddy moment! haha!).

Well, I suppose that's a pretty long introduction but... meh, I can be long-winded and far too detailed at times. =P

As I stated on my other post: I look forward to getting to know everyone here and calling these forums "home". =D

Take care everyone,
-Kenney
