Having dessert once in a while isn't a bad thing. Denying yourself is what causes binging. A good diet doesn't limit what you eat. It is the quantities. That is why fad diets don't work. People deny themselves things and then after they have lost the weight or before they can get there they go back to their old habits. If it is something you want have it. Just don't have 2 or 3 or more of it.
