Dating scans are not that accurate. Are you going alone? Try and talk to them about the margin of error with the dates. If you need to check whose it is and it's early enough they can do a CVS to test the DNA.
Hang in there, stoneheather. It sounds like an accident was highly unlikely. Don't assume the worst when they give you the dates without checking it out with them first.
