I have a strange conglomeration of a family. I was married to even a STRANGER congomeration. Other than my immediate family, I'm not in contact with family members on either side except an occasional aunt and uncle.

I find that to be sad too. I wish my kids had access to a great big family with cousins and relatives who gather for Christmas and such. I always hate going to the park at the beach on holidays....and here are all these cool extended families doing stuff together. That would be wonderful.
