I always go with something in the Bible which says what God speaks is truth and all man is a liar. Therefore, if He says he put apples on a banana tree.....I believe! If He says he put animals on a great big boat...I believe.
Maybe it's a mistranslation, maybe it's a metaphor, maybe it's way off.....I don't know and I don't care.
I don't have the luxury of picking thru the Bible as to what makes sense to me and what doesn't. If it's in there....it's there for a reason....and I'm going to believe it.....even if I don't understand it. This is the God who I believe created the universe....therefore, I believe he can do the impossible.
I'm THAT simple in my beliefs.....
Speaking of understanding something which doesn't make sense.... I was watching TV once about some tribe in South America who don't have a perception of time because they don't have clocks or days of the week. They just exist in their own day to day time frame. To me....the ways of God are much the same. Just because I don't have a perception or understanding of what He says and does.....does not make it less true. It just means....I don't understand yet.
