I would not survive dull meetings, waiting rooms, childrens parties and the park without my mobile. I also need it to get directions when I'm lost and to tell people I am late.
Even though she's a very young for it, I gave my old phone (battery only functions enough for messages) to my daughter when she was 7 so that she could stay in touch when she is with her Dad. There was a time when I had tragic texts when I wondered if it was wise, but now it seems to help her a lot when she misses me.
