Can you imagine being sentenced to jail for something that happened two decades ago? Not to mention that you have to establish the truth. Problem is, that is hard to do.
Rapists often get off the hook, because they blame the victim (she was dressed like a sl*t, so I may treat her as a sl*t). Other times however the "victim" makes up the whole rape, for whatever reason, leaving an innocent man face trial. And sometimes in jail.
