I think I would find it more convenient if there was NOT a God. However, I've never had the luxury of that convenience. In my heart, I know that He does. My search was never associated with wondering if He existed. It was more of a search of wondering who He was and what He was all about.
And herein lies the problem of religion. If each person stops at what they think is the FINALITY of who God is and what He is about, it is then when they have a tendency to think they are the only ones who are right. And they begin to fight and defend a God who has not asked them to do either.
As a matter of fact, it is clear in the Bible, if someone believes in it, that God DOES NOT want his word argued. He just wants it applied as it applies to you.
So, I'm a person who believes in God, considers myself of Christian persuation, but I'm not so lame to think my perception of Him puts Him in a box to be what I want Him to be nor do I have a right to demand that people have the same Boxed God that I may have.
Does that make sense?
because sometimes I don't.
