ours isn't a cal center, it's a contact center. incoming calls only which is why i took the job. i could never do the outgoing calls. i hate receiving them, i'm not about to bother people on the phones.

i know there are lots of people who don't care about the person on the other end of the line but i do. i have excellent customer service skills and i do empathize with all customers. what these people forget to do is put themselves in the customer's shoes. people like that won't last long with convergys. they are high on excellent customer service and care.

I'll get rude people calling me though and that's okay. i've dealt with plenty of those face to face (especially when i managed a highrise building - tenants can be brutal) so handling someone over the phone is easier for me. less confrentational. i can handle it. i'm not the type to cry at the drop of a hat. LOL!

i've heard nothing but good things about convergys. i haven't heard a negative thing about this company which impressed me big time. i'm going to work my way up. i'd say that within the next couple of years, i'll be in the human resource department. I have the skills and the drive to get there. they do great things for their employees too. you know they will pay up to 2500.00 tuition fees for online courses!! i'll be taking advantage of that! the best thing i like is that there is no signority there. you do a good job and you can get promoted before anyone that's been there longer then you have.

i am soooooooooooo looking forward to starting this job! I can't wait!!!!!
