The toughest athletes to jump out of bed in Toronto are a new breed of pillow fighters. Pillow-fighting women may be a male fantasy, but 'the hits are real'.
Once the dominion of teen sleepovers has been redefined into the arena of sports-entertainment. The Pillow Fight League - filled with heroines and female villians and man-made fiberes - hits the mattress, hard.
The league's creator and now commissioner, Stacey Case, says it's far from Jello wrestling or women trying to ripe the underwear off one another. The matches are real - never scripted - and the pillows don't dull all of the power of athletes looking to knock the stuffing out of one another.
"Imagine in your mind the fun of pillow fighting, put to the extreme-now think of it as even better than you imagine," he says.
