I wish my kids were closer...they are nice to everyone and never pick on other kids. Isis gains weight easy and she's been picked on too. It's not fair....it's just MEAN!

I would be tempted to do what Duke said in chasing them off my property....but that won't make Noah any friends. Kids want to play and mingle with other kids.

I think I would pick a couple of the nicer ones, educate them about Noah's situation, and encourage them to come play. Buy a trampoline or other stuff kids can't resist. Have the funnest yard in the neighborhood. As they hang around and learn alternate ways of communicating with Noah....they will get passed his disabilities.

Also, you could check if there are other kids in your city who have similar dissabilites and arrange some play dates. It will encourage the kids....as well as the parents.

I don't think this will ever be an easy situation for him....nor you. All you can do is try to help so he won't feel shunned or isolated. It must be very tough Stoneheather.
