There's nothing worse than a hurting child. It's prolly the most upsetting thing to a loving parent and we've all been through it. Even so, that doesn't make the situation any easier and I feel for you Stoneheather.
I'd love to offer you some words of wisdom or some consolation that will make it all better and easier for the future but I simply cannot. The simple fact is that kids are selfish and cruel. It's not too bad when one on one but in groups they cut deeper than any knife ever could. Many kids experience taunting and teasing for many reasons and it's a really sad statistic that will never change.
I would suggest that the kids no longer come over and that maybe a phone call is in order to their parents. They may be interested to know what their kids are up to. Calling them is the kind thing to do, personally, I would have run out and chased the little bastards off of my property.
