I agree with you. I can imagine banks, and accountants checking if you have been convicted for fiscal fraud or bankrobbery, but the credit score? WTF?
I can hardly imagine there being a real relationship between credit score and work commitment. You could also ask for a sign: "Cupsize C or above, else you won't be hired" - and with obesity being the problem it is nowadays, this does NOT discriminate against men.
I don't have a credit card, I barely pay things in an electronic fashion (I prefer cash, so I don't have to hop on the computer to find out how much I spent). So I would be screwed.
