we don't feed our dog left overs. he might get a treat once in a blue moon when i make a ham. i'll give him the ham bone to knaw on but tht's about it.
when i was a little girl, i had a dog named blackie (can you guess what color he was? LOL) anyways, my parents didn't know how dangerous bones were to dogs so he got any bones fro chewing on; chicken bones included. my dog blackie ended up dying all of a sudden. took him to the vet and they confirmed that he had holes in his stomach from all the bones. we killed our doggie.
i've never given any of my dogs any kind of poultry bones or any bones that are small (pork chop bones included - they can choke on those). i remember what happened to my poor blackie.
