Time differences are a pain in the ass. It makes it difficult to interact with people, and I do so with people who are from -9 hours (California) to +2 hours (Israel, Lebanon). The difference in time has been much greater, but a few people moved around quite a bit. So it is almost manageable now.
In the period that I met my girlfriend, I thanked my lucky stars that I could afford to stay up late - the time work ended for her was close to midnight over here.
