Default Picking your battles

I was talking today to a friend of mine who's thinking of going back home to Peru after 5 years of staying in France because it's too taugh for him. Truth being told, he had a more research prone profile and the scholarships are very scarce even for French people. He seems to have abandonned all hope and just won't seriously start looking for a job.

He's dore it his way, decided it's impossible and all he does is talk down about the French system - which is indeed kinda ****ty...

He made me wonder. Doubt.

So when is it when you've said "it's enough"? Which areas?

Professionally, I'm a survivour. However, on a personal note, I give up on my friends too easily. That's my biggest sin. I don't trust enough and I don't give enough. I give up on myself too quickly too.

I know it's a silly thing to say, but this type of choce mark our life forever, as it is the case of my Peruvian friend. I hope I don't end up alone.
