For some reason, my favourite all-time teacher came to mind! Her name was Miss Hogendoorn and she was elderly, she taught me Grade Two (long, long, long time ago) and I still remember her so clearly. She had short, white, wavy hair and had a kind face.
I was a sickly child and I would miss a lot of school, this particular instance I missed a whole month at once. Because I was sickly, my Mother protected me from everything! I remember Miss Hogendoorn helping me catch up at lunchtime on the work I missed. I remember how she encouraged my Art by letting me work on all the Art Murals! I remember the Christmas play we did, it was Luke 2 from the Bible and I even remember the players. One of my best school years, and that was thanks to her.
I'm sure she's gone now, but I will hold her forever in my Memory!!
