Maybe she is finally maturing enough to understand that playing around with her life can have sad consequences. It's hard to get beyond 'the group' and realize that partying only takes you so far. I also think as Erika gets older.....K will want to be a Mom which isn't an embarassment to her daughter.
It may take awhile...but at least she is heading in the right direction instead of going backwards. I know you must be very relieved.
