Well...if he needed it for food, rent, car repair or medication....that would be one thing. But a trip for a grown man with no other responsibilities seems a bit frivolous. If he wanted to take a vacation....he should have planned ahead and saved up.
You probably aren't doing him a favor by enabling him to continue being irresponsible. If he wanted to go on this trip...he could've taken an extra job delivering pizza or something at night a couple of months back.
