both my parents worked but my mother was always home after work to cook our meals. We ate out about 4 times a month then too but we did get more excercise then my kids do. My parents never knew where we were when we went out. after supper, we'd go back out there until dark. We were happy to be outside.

I think it has more to do with exercise rather then fast food. I ate a ton of junk food when i was a kid and never gained a pound.
