Think for instance on the past-times our kids have, compared to the pasttimes we had when we were kids (especially for the older members). Chances are high that children now are physically less active than say 20 or 30 years ago.

Blaming fastfood for obesity is like blaming smoking for cancer. There is a relation, but it is by far not the only cause.
I totally agree with you. Society just isn't as active as we used to be 20 or 30 years ago. I remember going out in the mornings and not coming back in until supper time when i was a kid. we ran, jumped and did all kinds of active things. kids today are lazy. they're couch potatoes. they don't walk, run or play like we used to. they're sitting on their butts playing video or computer games and watching TV.
