You know YL....you can't avoid this woman considering you plan to spend the rest of your life with her son and have grandchildren for her one day. It's best to let it go.....bite your tongue....and ask your Mom to do the same. Family arguments should always be avoided. Even if they are quirky and irritating.....they are still going to be around.
Use the old Bible suggestion "Kill her with kindness"....be so wonderful until there is nothing she can say. These things work.
