Don't be too hard on yourself. We all have fears when it comes to dealings with the opposite sex. Just because you have been a model does not erase that magically. Nor does that mean, that you are dumb or boring, as the stereotype is, that goes with that profession.
You are a major in Engineering. It's not exactly the easiest subject, and she knows that as her field is a bit related to yours. And you have had some conversation with her, and she will have formed an impression of you too. If you express yourself with her anyway near as well as you do on this messageboard, I highly doubt that she has the impression that you are boring.
