A house, woow! I've never lived in a house before - we have a counry house back home, but I've never stayed there more than one weekend!
As for the cat... cats belong outside. They're happier there.
I had a cat once - mysister found her, she was stray. Brought it to my grandparents place once - they have a house with an enourmous garden. The minute she was out, the poor cat was running like she never saw land before in her life. One minute was in the middle of a tree, the other was on the fence, running so fast... poor thing was afraid we'd immediately take her in. She befriended a little dog there, it was incredible. Cats really don't belong inside
