I have one of both. YES...the cat is easier. Ours is even housebroken and meow's at the door to go out...so I don't even have to deal with a litterbox. Then again, if we go somewhere overnight or all day, I can leave her one and she uses it. No bathing, no walking, no digging, no chewing, no BARKING...she is a dream compared to the goofy dog we have!!!

However, I'll admit he's the one who gets more attention from all of us and we love him dearly.

If I had to do it again though.....only a cat in the house....and that would be more than enough.

I'm not fond of birds or reptiles.
